The only good thing about this Soci mod is that I'm being forced to watch movies and to watch them with an unprecedented frequency.

Here's what I learnt from attending a lecture by the dodgy Soci lecturer today:

1. We live in a strongly consumerist culture where identity is often tied to possessions.
2. We often judge people based on what they can afford to buy/ spend on.

Defying gravity seems to be something more possible than understanding quantum mechanics. -.- Yes, no one can fully understand quantum mechanics and I seriously don't understand how anyone can come up with equations for something you don't understand. I see dots and lines and i immediately think of the ideal ice crystal shapes.
